Nurse educators from around the world will descend upon Atlanta June 10 -13 for the International Nursing Association for Clinical Simulation and Learning (INACSL) Conference. The INACSL Conference is the leading forum for nurse educators, managers, and researchers to connect in person with their community of practice for simulation; and UWG’s Tanner Health System School of Nursing will serve as a host school for the conference.
INACSL promotes research and disseminates evidence-based practice standards for clinical simulation methods and learning environments. Last year, the INACSL conference was attended by representatives from 49 states and 16 countries.
On June 10, UWG will have the chance to showcase its newly built, state-of-the-art simulation lab as conference participants spend the day visiting and touring the Tanner Health System School of Nursing. Participants will also interact with faculty and staff who operate the facility.
“It is an honor to be invited to be the host school for the INACSL, the leader in simulation,” said Lourdes Cody, lecturer in the Tanner Health System School of Nursing. “To be picked as a host school validates our leadership and role within the simulation community and shows that our efforts are globally recognized,” she added, speaking on behalf of UWG’s simulation team.
UWG is excited to showcase its simulation center and nursing program as well as to have the Tanner Health System School of Nursing be represented in such a prestigious way.
“Our team is committed to utilizing best practices in simulation education and healthcare,” Lourdes added.
