UWG's Office of University Communications and Marketing was recently awarded its third national Telly award. This year, UWG was awarded a bronze Telly in the Local TV Campaign Not-for-Profit category for the “Go West” television campaign.

On a pleasant evening in May, beneath the canopy outside the Campus Center Ballroom, a group gathered at the behest of University of West Georgia President Dr. Kyle Marrero for a “Summer Soiree.”
Known as the President’s Circle, this group is made up of faithful UWG supporters who offer donations of $1,000 or more to the university foundation. Also attending the event were members of the 1906 Society and the McIntosh Society. Read more ...
Melissa “Missy” Dugan ‘87, president and CEO of the Boys and Girls Club of Atlanta, encouraged UWG’s 2016 graduates to follow their passion. While it was a day to never be forgotten for the graduates, it was also a special day for the university. UWG conferred 1,204 degrees, the highest number of degrees awarded in any given semester from the university.
