UWG’s annual day of giving will take place on Thursday, October 16. Although donor campaign events have been taking place for the last several weeks, Thursday is the culmination of the years’ donations and pledges.
Volunteers will arrive on campus for breakfast at 8:30 a.m. and then fan out into the community to collect donations from local businesses. They will recognize those businesses and those who have already given by tying red and blue balloons on their doors and mailboxes.
Gifts will be returned to the Alumni House to be totaled for the campaign announcement at the Victory Celebration that night. The celebration will take place under the big tent on the front lawn of the Alumni House beginning at 7 p.m.
The UWG Annual Fund allows donors to give to the university’s greatest areas of need. Often, this means providing scholarships for students who might otherwise be unable to attend college. For more information on the UWG annual fund or to donate, visit www.westga.edu/development.
