The Townsend Center for Performing Arts is proud to welcome Grammy nominated folksinger and virtuoso instrumentalist John McCutcheon for a performance. Spend an evening with John McCutcheon on Saturday night, February 21 at 7:30 p.m.
John has emerged as a respected and loved folksinger in America. His songwriting and mastery of a dozen traditional instruments have been hailed by critics and singers around the world.
He has headlined over a dozen festivals in North America and has recorded an original composition for Virginia Public Television, an endeavor that involved 500 musicians.
In addition to appearing in a Woody Guthrie tribute concert in New York City, John gave a feature concert at the Smithsonian Folklife Festival, has given symphony pops concerts across America, and performed a special concert at the National Baseball Hall of Fame.
In addition to his performance on Saturday, February 21 at 7:30 p.m., John will also hold a songwriting workshop at 3 p.m.
