Position at UWG/Field of study: "I just graduated from UWG with a B.A. in psychology with a minor in criminology, and I start my M.A. program for clinical psychology here in the Fall. I have been working at UWG |Online since October 2010, I serve tables at Longhorn a few nights a week, and I just got a paid internship position with ProActive Management to start work in my field!"
Recent Accomplishment: "During my undergrad I received the MAP Achievement Award, I was on the Dean's List for seven semesters, I was nominated for Student Employee of the Year, and I graduated with cum laude all while carrying two jobs and having a decent social life!"
In Her Words: “I could not imagine myself at any other university than West Georgia! This is why I am continuing my master's here in the fall - UWG is home! The community is close-knit and the resources are outstanding for the students here. It is also close enough to my home town so that I can pay the folks a visit when I want. I used to be partial to taking classes online but now I would recommend it to any student; especially students who need a schedule flexible enough to allow you to work and attend school. In my case, taking online classes opened up my schedule and gave me an opportunity to get work experience while in school. With that being said, UWG |Online is a great place to work! Working with students and helping them be successful in online classes is extremely rewarding. Many prospective students and online students are not aware of the opportunities and resources that are offered online and that prohibits them from attending school and/or being successful online. Providing support and suggesting these resources is satisfactory for me and I love being able to open the doors of opportunities for students. Not to mention the UWG|Online Help Desk has the best team around, and I am honored to be a part of it!”
