Three UWG Wolves football standouts have added to the team’s list of preseasons accolades for the upcoming 2013 football season. Offensive tackle Brandon White, guard William Wright and linebacker Bobby Liggins have been named members of the 25th Annual USA College Football Division II Preseason All-Americans.
Brandon, a senior from Cincinnati, Ohio, was named to USA Football’s All-America First Team. William, a senior from Coconut Creek, Florida, was a second team selection. Bobby, a senior from Hephzibah, Georgia, was a third team selection.
Preseason honors were plentiful for UWG’s offensive line duo in the summer. Each was named a member of Lindy’s Preseason All-Division II Team, and William was chosen third team on the D2football.com preseason All-America Team. For Bobby, this is his first preseason All-America honor.
All three UWG standouts have been post-season honorees in their career. Brandon was named Gulf South Conference Offensive Freshman of the Year in 2010, and was a second team All-GSC choice in 2011. William and Bobby were named All-GSC Team Second Team following the 2012 season.
The 2013 Wolves officially reported back to campus on August 15 for the beginning of preseason camp. UWG begins its new season September 7 at Mars Hill College in Mars Hill, North Carolina.
