This dynamic new spot was created and produced by the University Communications and Marketing creative services team, in conjunction with UWG Athletics.
The 2014 home opener against Mars Hill is just over a month away, and with that, the UWG Athletic Department is bringing back the successful Season Ticket Blitz to give fans an opportunity to purchase tickets in the community. But this year, West Georgia has upped the ante in announcing the Sellout Sweepstakes to go along with this year's Season Ticket Blitz.
The Sellout Sweepstakes is an opportunity for three lucky season ticket holders to receive one of three prizes, courtesy of UWG Athletics. The first prize for any fan that purchases season tickets will be a Friday night (before a game of your choice) dinner for eight people in University Stadium on the 50-yard line of Ra-Lin Field. Second, one lucky fan will win two sideline passes for the game of their choice. And finally, one fan will win a chance to lead the Wolf Walk prior to the Wolves' game against Delta State on October 18.
"The Season Ticket Blitz has been such a wonderful campaign for us over these last four years," says Senior Associate Athletic Director Eddie Duffey. "Not only are we able to use this effort to generate a solid season ticketholder base, but more importantly, we are able to connect with the community in a fantastic way."
The Blitz is an easy way for fans to purchase their 2014 Football season tickets. This year's event will take place over the course of the next month throughout the Carrollton community, with ticket stations to be set up at various UWG Athletic partners around the city.
Representatives from UWG Athletics will be at various locations from 11:30 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., allowing those who are on their lunch hour a chance to stop by and sign up for their season tickets. On Mondays throughout the month of August, fans can be a part of the blitz on the square at Max & Henry's. Wednesdays in August will be at American Pie on Maple Street. Thursdays will take the Wolves to one of the newest lunch spots in town at American Deli on Maple Street and on Fridays, the blitz will be at Chick-Fil-A.
The 2014 season for UWG football begins with Mars Hill, set for September 6 at 2 p.m. in University Stadium. That will be the first of six home games this fall for Coach Hall's Wolves.
