UWG’s Student Government Association hosted a legislative town hall meeting on Thursday, November 14, in the Campus Center Ballroom. The event allowed students to submit questions that each panelist had an opportunity to answer.
Guest panelists included Representative Randy Nix of district 69, Representative Dustin Hightower of district 68, Senator Mike Dugan of district 30, Senator Mike Crane of district 28 and Representative David Stover of district 71.
After introducing themselves, the senators and representatives had the opportunity to share how their jobs affected the UWG community and how they started their careers as politicians amongst responding to several other questions. Dr. Michael Hester, UWG’s Dean of the Honors College, moderated the meeting, which had over 50 students in attendance.
