Dedicated to bringing students free events and an exciting reason to stay on campus during the weekend, the Weekends West Georgia organization held Screen on the Green on Friday, September 6, 2013, in Love Valley.
“I really think that Screen on the Green is a great idea,” says UWG junior Tyler Burton. “It’s a great way for us to come together as students and enjoy each other’s presence while watching a movie.”
With over 400 students in attendance, participants were encouraged to bring their friends and blankets for the showing of Man of Steel. Students were welcomed by the smells of fresh popcorn, drinks, and friendly WWG members.
“We hope to grow in attendance this year as well as reach as many students as possible by offering a diverse range of events,” says Jonna Greer, WWG coordinator.
