This summer, the In-Plant Printing and Mailing Association, also known as the IPMA, recognized UWG’s Publications and Printing facility, the on-campus copy center, as the “2013 Print Center of the Year.” The award was presented in San Mateo, California.
“UWG won this award by shifting the focus toward students, offering more services and making the center more available,” says Sally Roberts, director of Publications and Printing.
The award specifically recognizes a staff that has excelled in efficient management skills. “Since the center has been focusing on the students, it has seen an increase in student requests by 6 times since 2012,” adds Sally.
New items offered to students include bumper stickers, posters, wall art, printed CDs/DVDs and personalized graduation announcements.
