Athletic Foundation Announces the Creation of The Champions Council

The University of West Georgia athletics program has formed the Champions Council, an elite group of athletics supporters whose generosity will be key in shaping the program into a consistent contender on the national level.

Athletic Foundation Announces the Creation of The Champions Council “The Champions Council will leave an impactful legacy for future generations,” said Athletic Director Daryl Dickey. “It will transform the UWG student athlete experience and build champions on the field and in the classroom.”

Champions Council members play a critical role in leading the program into its next era of even greater success. Not since the 1982 national football championship has there been an opportunity for the university to have such a far-reaching impact on the entire athletics program and our community.

There are currently 11 members on the Champions Council ranging from alumni to friends of UWG. Each member commits to donating a leadership gift over a five-year period. Funds from this campaign are earmarked to support special, transformational projects for UWG Athletics.
