Dr. Toby Ziglar, Director of Graduate and International Admissions

Dr. Toby Ziglar, Director of Graduate and International AdmissionsDr. Toby Ziglar believes it’s the people who make an organization great, and so far, he says what he’s seen at the University of West Georgia has made an impression.

“I've encountered people who care about students and want them to succeed both inside and outside of the classroom,” he shares.

The Anniston, Alabama native began his position as the director of graduate and international admissions in spring 2014 after time spent at Kennesaw State University as the assistant director of graduate admissions where he was in charge of marketing and recruitment. He has a Ph.D. in New Testament studies and sociology of religion and is currently pursuing an Ed.D. in higher education administration at Georgia Southern University. He and his wife Carrie have three children, Rachel, Sarah and Nathan.

He says UWG is unique, and he is happy to be a part of the Go West family.

“UWG is different in that it embraces its mission and has a clear sense of identity,” he concludes. “I'm excited about the strategic plan and the future of the institution.”
